About Dr. Chagniot

Dr. Dominique Chagniot was born and raised in the Ingleside neighborhood of San Francisco and attended high school at St. Ignatius College Preparatory. As a teenager, Dr. Chagniot’s interest in oral surgery was sparked when she spent a summer volunteering at the 7x7 West Portal office, where she observed Dr. Duncan’s surgeries. From that point on, Dr. Chagniot became laser-focused on becoming an oral surgeon.

Dr. Chagniot is very passionate about oral surgery and is thankful to be working her dream job! She is dedicated to staying up to date on the latest research and technologies, and she takes the time to make patients feel comfortable and heard. She is proud to be a part of a team that delivers unmatched service for English, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and Tagalog speakers.

She was also a cellist in the Ethnomusicology Performance Ensemble.

She then ventured further south for her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, CA in 2020. Dr. Chagniot was awarded the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons’ Dental Student Award, a prestigious award granted to only one dental student for their excellence in oral and maxillofacial surgery. She was also selected for the highly competitive, merit-based Friends of Dentistry Scholarship, awarded to only one student per year.

In 2020, Dr. Chagniot matched to the UCSF Fresno Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency in Fresno, California, a program known for its high case volumes and wide surgical scope.
